Ridgeview
Alumni Association
ENDOWMENT
FUND CAMPAIGN
STATEMENT
OF PURPOSE
The Ridgeview Alumni Association is a group of actively recovering
alcoholics/addicts who have completed treatment and strive to support the
recovery of patients in treatment at Ridgeview, as well as broadening their own
lives through fellowship and service. Our
primary purpose is to stay sober and to help others achieve and maintain
sobriety, while promoting recovery through fellowship, service and unity.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to serve.
In September of 1998, The Association launched a
campaign to establish an Endowment Fund. The
stated purpose and goal of the fund is to solicit capital for preservation and
growth through investment. The Fund
can then be utilized to offer assistance for years to come, to Ridgeview
patients in treatment helping to address their specific needs.
The specific needs include but are not limited to,
scholarships, grants and loans to cover costs associated with inpatient lodging
and meals, professional counseling, clinical assessments, detoxification
programs, outpatient day and evening programs, psychiatric care and after care
programs.
All gifts to the Endowment Fund are eligible as
charitable donations under current federal income, gift and estate tax law.
No gift is too small or too large. We
ask members of the recovery community to donate a minimum of $5 for every year
they have been in recovery and accept gifts/donations of any amount from family
members, friends, and businesses, corporate matching donations are also greatly
appreciated.
The
Endowment fund is professionally managed and operates under the guidance of
the Ridgeview Alumni Association Endowment Fund Board of Directors.
