Ridgeview Alumni Association

One of Ridgeview’s most prized assets is our Alumni Association.

The Ridgeview Alumni Association is made up of over 100 individuals from varied backgrounds who are in active recovery and have completed treatment at Ridgeview Institute. Members have volunteered to serve the Ridgeview Alumni and the recovering community at large by planning and participating in various Alumni sponsored functions. Their main purpose is to promote and sustain recovery through fellowship, service, and unity. The only requirements for joining are active participation in a 12-Step program and a desire to serve.

Alumni are available to talk with patients and families new to recovery, support and reinforce the 12-Step programs, and help bridge the gap between treatment and the outside world. Most importantly, the alumni help restore hope. Many former patients have told us that talking to someone who had experienced success in recovery made all the difference.

The Alumni Association is active in the recovering community year round and regularly sponsors speaker meetings, family events, parties and retreats. Each year, Ridgeview and the Alumni Association host a reunion event including a one-day workshop with topics of interest for recovering individuals and their families and a Spring Fling Carnival complete with food, games, entertainment and a day filled with fun.

In the Spring of 2002, Ridgeview was presented with the gift of a beautiful Serenity Garden, developed and maintained by the Alumni Association. The garden is maintained through donations and the purchase of commemorative bricks adorning the entrance. If you, or someone you know would be interested in purchasing an etched brick, please visit the Ridgeview Alumni Association website at www.ridgeviewalumni.com. You can have an etched brick that will last forever.  Have your family name, honor someone or remember someone special on a brick that will be placed for all to see. Visit the website to see beautiful photos of the garden and the bricks. Many photos on Ridgeview Institute’s website were taken in this wonderful garden as well.

The Alumni Association is a vital part of Ridgeview’s mission and traditions of Quality Care, Quality Service, and Quality Workplace. Alumni are often on campus serving in many different capacities and the Ridgeview patients and staff are the lucky recipients of their service and care.
